It’s Time To Start Bringing In Income To Your Business
Are you struggling to bring in income for your business?
Well, here’s a question: what is it that you have to sell?
And here’s another question: how often are you selling?
Because if you don’t have at least a product or two in your back pocket, especially outside of your higher-ticket offerings, then you’re going to struggle to bring in the income you want to see for your business.
And I don’t want you to struggle.
Online business isn’t about struggling, it’s about developing the strategies necessary to make live easy, and to make bringing in income a seamless process.
In no particular order, here are eight products that you can create for your business and start to sell in weeks, or even days, if you are so inspired.
Easy Digital Products: A Paid Masterclass
One very simple product to offer is a paid masterclass.
Poll your audience and ask them what they’d like to see you talk about in depth. Give them a couple options—you don’t want to overwhelm them, or they are likely to not respond—and once you get the results, you can go in on creating a full-length masterclass to offer.
A paid masterclass would be something about 45 to 75 minutes in length, but if you want to go all-in, you can do something as long as 90-minutes.
Now, even in a product as lengthy as an hour and a half, you want to make sure that you keep your topic focused. You want something that you can go really in depth in. Think about it like a long-form blog post—one that’s more than 3,000 words—what would you talk about in a blog post like that? And think about how overall, you’re focused on just one topic. Look at my post about how to get massive traffic from Pinterest. It’s one of my longer blog posts, but at the same time, the focus is just on how to get traffic from that platform.
When you’re drafting your masterclass, think about it like a very long blog post like that.
Heck, you can even take a blog post that you’ve written and use those sub-topics you featured as the framework for your masterclass. That takes even more work out of it.
Price Range: $30 – $100
Easy Digital Products: Graphics Template Packs
Are you skilled at making graphics in Canva or Photoshop? Or both?
Then this is going to be one of the easiest offerings that you can put together, and probably in a matter of hours, rather than days or weeks.
Create a graphics template pack and sell it to your audience.
Give them a bunch of different options—Pinterest templates, Instagram templates, Facebook header templates, workbook templates, Powerpoint templates, the sky is the limit to what kind of graphics templates you can create.
And you can offer them in different ways. Offer a Pinterest-only template pack, or a social media-only template pack, or even a massive template pack with one or two different options for any time of graphic and branding an online business owner would need.
You can come up with as many different template packs as you want, and even switch them out and bundle them, which makes it very easy to sell regularly on your website, to your email list, and on social media.
Price Range: $10 – $50
Easy Digital Products: A Workbook
Some people love being able to print out a workbook and going to town.
So, what parts of your content can you turn into a paid workbook?
Is there a step-by-step process that you can guide your audience through? What is something that your audience can take away at the end of working through a notebook over a few days.
Or is this a longer-term workbook? Are you teaching the fundamentals of journaling over 30 days? Are you helping your clients get organized by planning out their meals in advanced? Are you a master at scheduling and your tips and tricks will help your users find more time out of their day? Do you have a series of workouts for four weeks that you can add to one of your recipe books so your can change both their diets and their bodies?
What is a step-by-step process that you can detail out in a short workbook?
Price Range: $15 – $30
Easy Digital Products: A 1-1 Pour Hour
Now, this may not be a digital product, but it is something that you don’t have to put a lot of time or effort into creating, and can net you a higher price, compared to some of the other offerings in this post.
Think about the things you teach in your long-term 1-1 work. The time you spend working with your clients on one topic or another.
What is one thing that you can take from your long-term 1-1 work and turn it into an hour-long 1-1 session?
Can you help someone narrow their niche? Can you help someone learn the fundamentals of knitting? Can you do a deep dive evaluation of a person’s website?
There are so many things that you do for your 1-1 clients in an hour’s time—what can you take out and turn into a power-hour type product?
And how do you determine what it is that you SHOULD pull out? Ask your audience.
It’s simple. As something along the lines of, “If you could work with me for an hour, would it be on X, Y, or Z?”
Give them a couple options, see what the results are, and then move forward with your marketing plan.
Price Range: $100 – $400 (or beyond, depending on what your Pour Hour/Power Session entails)
Easy Digital Products: A Mini-Course
A mini-course is a great option for something you can create quickly and relatively easily. Not only that, but once you’ve created it, you can sell it over and over and over again, as many times as you want.
Once it’s created, it’s all about driving traffic to the registration page and getting people in the course.
You can host the mini-course on your own website, or you can host it on a platform like Teachable, Kajabi, or Thinkific.
A mini-course, by design, is something small. Something that doesn’t take you months and months to create, because you’re focusing on one or two small wins that you can provide your audience. And just like it doesn’t take very long to create, it doesn’t take very long to complete either.
Just like you think about what is it that you can work with someone 1-1 with in a power-hour situation, what is something small, some kind of fundamental, that you can turn into a short course?
A mini-course could be something as short as four videos (10-15 minutes at most), along with a couple worksheets or an accompanying workbook.
Price Range: $50 – $199
Easy Digital Products: A Video Series
A video series is similar to a mini-course, but like the name implies, it’s something video only.
With a video series, you can offer a series of videos, as few as five even, all at once, or even dripped over a few days, if there are action steps that you want your students to complete before they go on to the next video.
A video series is a great way to take one small facet of what you teach and turn it into something that maybe someone who doesn’t like a workbook would rather go through.
With a video series, the student also gets the opportunity to hear your voice, and learn about the unique way in which you teach your paid material.
It doesn’t have to be fancy, it can just be you sitting in front of your computer, or even you next to a white-board, or your face, along with one or two slides, or even demos.
A video series is a great way to walk someone through a step-by-step demonstration of whatever it is you’re teaching. For example, a step-by-step demonstration on how to create a landing page in Leadpages, or how to set up your Facebook ads the right way.
Price Range: $30 – $99
Easy Digital Products: An eBook
There are a ton of different ways to create an ebook to offer to your audience.
The easiest way? Take your blog content and package it into an ebook.
Yes, it’s really that simple.
What your audience is looking for is for you to make their lives easier, and sometimes all easier means is having a one-stop location of all your best, related blog posts.
Not only that, but you can take those blog posts and expand on them, update them, and add in exclusive content not seen on your blog or anywhere else in your communities.
The other way you can go about creating and ebook is to start from scratch with some completely original content. Think about your story, and how your story—going in depth—can really make an impact on your audience. What do they really need to know? What are the lessons that your journey can teach them?
Or you can take it from the fundamentals. The fundamentals of color theory. How to be a better runner. What kind of mindset do you need to make a radical change in your life?
The sky is the limit when it comes to what kind of ebook you can create for your audience. Ask them what they want to know more about. What would they like to see you go through in depth? As always, ask your audience for what they want.
Price Range: $15 – $30
Easy Digital Products: A Bundle Of Your Live Video Content
Do you go live ALL the time?
Take your best live video recordings and package them up into a bundle to sell.
Look at your most popular videos that are on the same or similar topics, upload them to somewhere like Dropbox and Google Drive, and offer lifetime access to them to your audience.
This is especially valuable if you are someone who has done a ton of free masterclasses, which are full-length and in depth in the topics that you’ve covered.
Even if you only do shorter lives, similar to the episode of 10 Minutes Before Dinner that I do in my free Facebook community, Consistent Content Creators, you can still take those shorter videos, bundle 10 or 15 of them together, and offer them to your audience.
Price Range: $10 – $90 (depending on the length of the content and how many videos are in each bundle).
What is the next digital product you’re going to create? Let me know in the comments!
