To Inspire Your Way To A Productive Week
Sometimes you need a kick in the pants and a friendly reminder that what want to achieve really is possible. So, here it is:
Success is your only option.
I wholeheartedly believe that. If you really put your mind to it and decide it’s possible, that success will ultimately come. It takes action, persistence, and consistency, but fundamentally, all you need is to decide that you are going to achieve anything and everything you want to do.
In this series weekly series, I have compiled 47 quotes from businessmen and women, public speakers, online entrepreneurs, philanthropists, artists, television show-runners and more. These people have achieved so much success, because not only have they decided that they are going to be successful, but they have also allowed themselves to fail. That’s one of the most important things to keep in mind. Failure is a part of achieving growth, because no one is just going to hand you the life you want. You must work for it, learn the lessons from any missteps, apply them and find any other way you can to reach your goal.
What I want you to do is find someone new from this series and learn more about them. I’ve even given you a short bio and some fun facts to start things off.
Expand your awareness and maybe even find yourself a new role model. Many of the people on this list are incredibly influential to me, and have completely changed my view of money, business, and success.
“As long as you’re learning, you’re not failing.” – Bob Ross
What I Like About This Quote: With the way school is in this country, it’s no surprise that people are more than ready to never have to sit in a class again after finishing college. The entire process is exhausting, from the pressure to pick a college the second you get to high school, and then the pressure to pick a major—an entire career path—the second you get to college. We’re pushed from the next step to the next step to the next step, so it’s natural to never want to have to learn again by the time you’re done. And then there’s that whole student debt issue, which is so pervasive and makes college itself (which is deemed 100% necessary) totally cost prohibitive.
But as Ross said, the second you stop learning is the second you start failing. It’s that simple. Did you know that most people won’t even crack open a book after finishing school? Never again. Now, I know that most of the books forced on students at school are not exactly the best reads out there (I’m looking at you, every single book where a dog dies for “literary” reasons), but reading is one of the BEST ways to keep learning. You don’t have to sit in a class to crack open a book and learn something new.
In fact, it’s EASIER to learn when you’re out of school, because there’s no pressure. There’s no test at the end. You’re learning what you want to learn, BECAUSE you want to learn it.
There is no growth if you don’t work to grow. The most successful people in the world know that you earn from what you learn, and you always get out more than you put in. So invest in yourself. It’s so simple. You don’t have to learn a new language in a day, but you can always find a topic that you’re interested in and dig into it. Learn its history and all its fun facts.
