How I Earned $25.52 In Passive Income
Happy September! I can’t believe summer is technically “over”—even though I live in Arizona and the temperatures aren’t going to cool off for at least another month and a half.
Such is life, when you’re living in the desert.
Now that summer’s over, it’s time to buckle down and focus on my fall and winter offers.
And those offerings include products that I’ll be able to sell passively. One of the most important facets of generating passive income is to make sure that you have more than just one offering, and that you make an effort to drive consistent traffic to said offering.
More on that in a moment.
August 2019 Income Report: How I Earned $25.52 In Passive Income In August 2019
Digital Products:
Content Explosion Accelerator – $24.00: Once again, I made the bulk of my August earnings through the sale of the Content Explosion Accelerator workbook, which is the companion to my free, 5-day Content Explosion email course. The Accelerator takes the content in the course and packages it all together so you get access to all the information at once, along with a guided deep dive into determining your niche and identifying your ideal client.
I’ve said a lot over the last few months how beneficial it is to have a digital product of your own, because you bring in more profit, compared to affiliate marketing or ads. Not only that, but when it’s your digital product, you get the money from it immediately, rather than waiting out whatever payout period you have in other methods.
Ads:
Google Adsense: $1.52: Made a little bit in ads last month, which is partially from the traffic I have on this website, and also from the traffic I get on TheFakeRedhead.com, my old writing prompts website. As always, ads are just something I have set and forgotten, and are not high on my priority list at the moment.
Whether I continue with ads in the future is something I continue to debate, but right now it’s nowhere near a priority to deal with.
August 2019 Income Report: Celebrating My Most Profitable Month In Business To Date
My June 2019 Income Report was the first income report where I reported a drop in passive income earnings, because I was focused more on the services I provide—aka active income, and while I had less in passive income, I earned more in active income.
And August is another one of those months where I earned WAY more active income than I did passive.
In fact, August was my business’ most profitable month to date!
So that’s exciting. And as I’ve mentioned all summer, it’s a lot about balancing your efforts in earning both active income and passive income, and that the strides you make when earning active income will ultimately lead to more passive income earnings.
Remember: none of your efforts are ever wasted.
August 2019 Income Report: Celebrating A Year Of Income Reports
August 2018 was the first month I reported my passive income earnings for Quest for $47.
A year ago, I would have never imagined where my business is now.
And I’m also really excited that the income I reported in August 2019 was higher than what I reported in August 2019. Overall, it’s trending up, and is going to continue to do so.
I’ve done so much in just a year, I’ve educated myself, educated others, left my day job to go all-in on my business, and have absolutely changed my life for the better.
No matter how much uncertainty I encounter in my business, it is nothing compared to the misery I felt at my old job.
It’s important to remember that if you want to do something, and you’re intent on doing it, you WILL figure out how to make it happen.
August 2019 Income Report: Changing My Focus To Sell More
How does an online business owner make more sales?
Simple: you sell more!
Have do you sell more?
Make more offerings.
I’ve spent so much of my passive income efforts on the Content Explosion Accelerator Workbook, but I’ve reached a point where it’s time for me to start releasing more products that will allow me to diversify my offerings.
Sometimes you may go through periods in your business when you don’t know what you would sell, and sometimes you have more inspiration than you can handle. It doesn’t take much to come up with an idea for a product that you can create for your audience, because once you have the idea, you can start doing the research to refine it into exactly what your audience wants and needs.
September is going to be that month where I focus on two of the major product releases that I’ve been thinking about for a while, and there are going to be more and more to come in future months.
August 2019 Income Report: Rebranding Content That Converts
For months, I knew that I wanted to create a Facebook group, and when it came time to do so, I came up with the group name, Content That Converts.
But even though that was the name I went with, it didn’t really feel like it fit with the type of group I wanted to create.
And then it hit me, and Content That Converts transformed into Consistent Content Creators.
One of the most important things to remember is that even if you haven’t landed on the perfect name, don’t let that stop you from releasing your new offering to your audience. I say all the time, that nothing is set in stone, and especially not the name of a Facebook community.

One of my other focuses in the month of August was being featured more online, and I was featured in a pair of publications that I’m really excited about.
The first feature was really cool because it’s a local online magazine here in Arizona, Voyage Phoenix Magazine, where I was featured as an Inspiring Story.
